Chatting with Ekko

You are a chattering sort of girl and often say very interesting things.  Like the other day you were asking a series of questions:  If Joseph is Jesus' father, and God is Jesus' father, how does that work?  Is God all of our fathers?  Does Winnie the Pooh have a mom? (no joke. you asked these questions in that order and just like that.)

And then one day Daddy asked you if you would take care of him when he gets old.  You said "no".  When he asked why, you told him it is because you are moving up to the Soo to live near Auntie so you won't be close enough.

On Tuesday when we were walking to catch the bus, we saw the cutest little kitten.  Both you and Zoe had a great time playing with it.  You mentioned something about having a kitten and I said we couldn't have one because Daddy is allergic to cats.  You questioned why he had to be allergic to cats but seemed to accept that.  Later the same day we were in PetSmart picking up a new fish when you said "mom, daddy isn't allergic to dogs.  Can we take a dog home?"  Smart girl.  Answer is still no though.

Tomorrow we are off to visit Grandpa, Grandma, Auntie Becky and Uncle Aldo.  Should be very fun.  You are quite excited.  Then next week Lolo and Lola are coming and we are going to have your birthday!  Excitement galore!
