Summer fun
Wow but I love my girl. I wish some nights after you are gone tosleep that I could sneak in and start the day all over. I lovebeing your mommy and wish days didn't go by so quickly. Thisafternoon we sat out on the deck and ate cheese strings together whileZoe napped. So delightful just to share life with youand enjoy your enthusiasm. I hope you know how dearly you areloved. I wish I could fix every difficulty and make your worldalways sunny. I know I can't but… That reminds me of onFriday night we were chatting as you got ready for bed about our picnicthat we were planning with Emma and Alana for the next day. Isaid something about hoping for nice weather. You said "Rain isnice weather. Then we get to walk in puddles." There'sprobably a sermon in that somewhere if I thought long enough.
You are still pretending to being flying to Calgary these days. You made a paper airplane this morning and flew to Calgary withZoe. You said Lolo was very happy to see you. I'm sure hewould be! We went to Calgary two weeks ago. It was a nicetrip. One day we went up with Auntie Lizette to themountains. Your favourite part was riding on the gondola up themountain. I think your other favourite part was walkingAvi. Auntie Lizette's dogs made the trip for you girls! Youalso enjoyed being a flowergirl a lot. You keep telling peoplethat your favourite part for that was dancing with Daddy. It wasa beautiful site I tell you! Watching you and Daddydancing. You danced with Daddy until you fell asleep in his armson the dancefloor.
When we got home from Calgary you got quite sick. You had a veryhigh fever for a few days and scared me a bit. It's so muchbetter when my girlie isn't sick.
Another fun getaway that we had was to a "cottage" with Auntie Hiroko,Uncle Steve, Alana, Emma, Uncle Dan, Auntie Beck, Uncle Aldo andSam. One of the funnest parts of the weekend was gettingcherries on our way to the cottage. You and Zoe ate a whack ofthem and we wore them as earrings while you giggled away. Yougirls had a grand time playing together. I'm so glad that you andAlana are such good friends. You also had a grand old time playing lastSaturday when we went on our picnic. Emma loves to follow alongnow too. She has such a cute little voice saying "Coco. HiCoco." You are always really sweet with Emma.
Now you started swimming lessons. So far you have had two lessonsand you cried through them both. I hope it gets better. Your reason for crying so far has been because your teacher is aboy. Hmmm. But today he made you smile at least because hegot you on a pig shaped flutter board. You love pigs so!
Good night little girl that I love so much. My lovely love. – Mommy
