Ekko turns 3 years old today!
Hi beauty. You are still sleeping (so is everybody except Daddy) so I thought I would write a quick note to you. Happy birthday my big girl. Oh, I love you so much. In about ten minutes from now it will be exactly three years since you were born. I remember when I first saw you, and I thought I couldn’t possibly get any happier ever. You were the most beautiful creature ever. And then you scared us all so badly less than five minutes later. Yesterday when I had Zoe at the doctor she weighed more at 2 months than you did at 7 months. It reminded me again of how hard we had to fight together for you to grow. And so many people fought with us by praying for you through all that stuff. I was remembering last night some of the scary times and some of the fun times with my baby Ekko. Now there are just lots more fun times. Last night we had an early birthday party for you. Auntie Becky and Uncle Aldo are going up to see Grandpa and Grandma today so we needed to celebrate with them. Tomorrow we’ll have a party with your little friends. Of course we had to have pumpkin pie and whipped cream with candles in it. You love your pumpkin pie! And Auntie and Aldo bought you the gifts you have been waiting for – a purple purse and a purple watch. Oh the bliss. Afterwards we all went for a walk together. Lolo had fixed the double stroller wheel so you and Zoe could ride together. Such fun. You were pretty happy all day yesterday. You ate about half the pomegranate from Auntie Garfus and Uncle Bill. That was so good. For some reason you and I had to share it with Cedarvale and Puppy. Then because they didn’t eat their share, you “helped” them. I think I got ripped off! And Auntie Lizette came last night just before supper too. You were so excited at bedtime because she is sleeping on the air mattress in your room with you. My girlie loves visitors.
I love you lots my birthday girl. Happy #3. I am a little bit sorry that my 2 year old is gone but happy to enjoy my three year old. Bless you beauty! – Mommy
