Geek Love Song: I Got A Girl!
This is one of the songs my wife hasn’t heard yet. I was wanting to go for an 80’s feel of pure excitement because I was able to get a girlfriend and eventually wife! Huzzah! 😀
That’s a big accomplishment for me. 🙂
This song has more 80’s cheese than you can shake a fondue stick at! Bring on the fromage!
CD Status
I’m tired. I’ve been going for 4 months straight on a creative bent, and now I’m really tired. I think my muse has petered out. 🙁
In October: I helped out putting a CD together by writing a few songs, and I made a 30 episode online video series.
November: was National Novel Writing Month, so I wrote a novel.
December: I usually photoshop Christmas cards, but this year, I made an Elumir Christmas Special DVD with my fam.
January: I’ve been trying to get enough songs written for my anniversary CD.
I don’t know if I will have enough energy for FAWM.org. Or life for that matter. *laugh*
Lyrics
I did not know, how could I have, I never knew things were amiss
I thought I had it good, I thought my days were full, ignorance was bliss
I had my friends online commitments, my life was pretty sweet
But then she came, simply out of thin air, and she swept me off my feet
I got a girl!
A level no one thought that I – could – ever achieve
She looks really pretty, her hair is so soft, I still cannot really believe
I got a girl!
An accomplishment I thought I never could
She calls me be name, we talk on the phone, and gosh she smells really good
I got a girl!
It was an impasse that I couldn’t seem to breach, confined to the fate that I had
But I was happy, at least that’s what I thought, I didn’t know I had it bad
She is better than I could have imagined, someone should have told me before!
Want to run outside, leave the safety of my room, and laugh and shout and scream out galore!
I got a girl!
Not just imaginary, but in real life
We go out to movies, she laughs at my jokes, to me she acts really nice.
I got a girl!
Who can believe it, I want the whole world to see.
We don’t order in, we go out in public – she’s not embarassed to be with me!
I got a girl!
