New Pictures

Well Ekko, some people are going to be really happy, because I posted some pictures of you from the months of April and May.  We don’t have any June pictures though, because the camera was full, and we packed away the cord which downloaded pics.  Ah well.

I’ve been meaning to write this story about you because it was so cute.   It was the final Sunday for Sunday School at church, and thus all the kids were up to do something from their grade.  Your group, ages 2 and 3, were standing on a table and Patrick went around asking kids their name, their age, and what they were thankful for.  Well, about the fifth kid, you were getting antsy that it wasn’t your turn, and you told me, “I want to talk!”, and I said sure, you can talk, just get a little closer.  So you navigated through all the other kids so that you could get closer to Patrick who had the microphone, and who was interviewing Dana at the time (I think it was her).  Well, You GRABBED the microphone, and Patrick asked you your name realizing you were ready.  You said you were Ekko, of course.  He asked you your age, and you proudly yelled out “Two!”  And then when it came time for what you were thankful for, you said, “Cows!”  People had a laugh at that.  I don’t know why you were thankful for cows, it’s never really come up before, but hey, cows are something to be thankful for.  You were adorable.

Last Tuesdays mommy was working, and so you and I were together having fun.  And I found out something, you like stories.  Now that’s not some amazing discovery, it’s just that you like stories about yourself!  So I would relate to you the Porch story (how we read a two books on the porch) and the Bath story (how you took a bath, but you like to call it the poopy story).  That was so much fun!  For some reason, you love cold water.  You would turn the cold water on, and only the cold water, and wash your face in it, like it was the most refreshing thing in the world.  Then you would turn around, and get the cold water on your bum, and you would scream about how cold it was!  In fact, when we get to that part in the retelling of the “Bath story” you would laugh and giggle like it was the funniest thing in the world!  What a little cutie you are!

Well, I better get to eating now.  Mommy barbecued, and now you’re eating some barbecue potatoes, which you really like.

You’re so beautiful Ekko.  There are days when you or I have to go, and I don’t get a chance to get some hugs in, and I miss you so much.  It’s great watching you grow up Ekko!

And now with this new kid coming, we’re going to have to go through it all over again.  Ay carumba!

You’ve been so talkative on the phone too!  You talked to Lolo and Lola and Auntie Leezet and Grandpa and Grandma.  And you would sing and tell stories, and just chat away like a madwoman!  They were so happy to hear you chat away!

As a last note, I was at work, and you and mommy came to have lunch (since we’re showing the house off an awful lot, you and mommy come up almost every other day for lunch, it’s great!) Anyways, I asked you if you remembered what Daddy want’s to remember.  You replied, “Daddy loves me”, and it was the cutest thing in the world.  Everybody let out the expected, “Awww….”.

You keep on remembering that beauty.
