Hip-Hip hooray!!!!

Today you had a doctor’s appointment with your regular doc.  It was quite hilarious when we got there because you promptly lay on the table saying you were ready for him to check the baby in your tummy.  The nurse really impressed with you because you were so obliging.  You jumped on the scales when she asked you to and held your tummy like she said while she weighed you.  You were so good that she told you you had to come out to the nurse’s desk and get a sticker.  Of course you picked one of Thing 1 and Thing 2 because that’s you and Alana!

Dr Goldbach was also super impressed with you.  You kept talking to him in full sentances.  That was impressive.  And you laughed and played with him.  He just kept saying over and over how happy it made him feel to see you.  He used to be very worried about you.  He tested a few things on you, like whether or not you could jump with both feet off the ground.  And of course you can.  And you’ve been learning how to pedal your tricycle that Grandpa and Grandma bought you so you were getting good at that movement too.  That impressed him.  Then he looked at the nurse’s notes to see your weight.  After plotting it on the graph he let out a whoop.  For the very first time in your life my darling you have made it on the chart!!!!  Okay, you are on the very bottom line of the chart but you are on there!  YEAH!!!!!  He just sat for a few minutes enjoying you while you sang “Engine engine number 9” for him.  Mommy was so happy too!  Now we only need to see the doctor on your birthdays.  Once every twelve months instead of once or twice a week.  You’ve come a long ways baby!

What a great day.  The other funny thing was that Sara called this morning from Switzerland.  You answered the phone and were chatting away.  I figured it was probably Auntie Becky you were talking to.  But it was Sara!  Sara says she reads your letters too (hi Sara!).  You have lots of friends my girl.

Now you are napping and Mommy needs to get the kitchen cleaned up before I go to work.  Daddy gets to play with you tonight.  I love you my beauty. – Mom
