Flash Fiction Fridays! Fun Writing Challenge
That’s write, our friend Ryan has started a new challenge called Flash Fiction Fridays.
As the name implies, the idea of F3 is to write a piece of flash fiction, and release it to the world on Friday. It’s a fun way to end off the week, stretch your creative muscles, AND you end up with a bunch of original fiction to read that you might not be able to get anywhere else.
Now, you may be asking “What the heck is flash fiction, anyways?” GOOD QUESTION! Flash fiction is a short story that’s under 1000 words in length, but still manages to tell a complete story with a beginning, a middle, and an ending. So like a short story, but shorter.
If you’d like to participate:
1) Write a piece of flash fiction. A lot of our participants like to write their fiction on the Friday itself, but this isn’t strictly necessary.
2) Share your fiction with others! There are multiple ways you can do this – email it to people you know, post it on your blog or website, link to it on twitter or facebook, OR, best of all, join the Flash Fiction Fridays group (http://groups.google.ca/group/flashfictionfridays) and share it with other F3 participants.
3) Repeat as necessary.
