#3 Animation a Week – Lighting
Ya, I was a bit late on this one. Work has been crazy busy. We run march break camps, and I have to get up at 6:30 to pick up my coworker at 7am so that we can be there for 7:30. That’s not too bad, if you think about it, because it only takes us 20 minutes to get to work. But then we don’t come home until 6 or sometimes 7, so that’s rough. And I was sick, so I would go to bed at around 9 because of exhaustion.
OK, I’m bored with me complaining, so let’s talk about the animation. That’s much more interesting. Or not. Whatever.
I did the animation Sunday night, and since it’s mostly just talking, it had more frames but didn’t take me that long to do! Only 2 hours for 20 seconds of animation! Huzzah!
And I think I fixed my light flickering. I boosted the shutter speed to about 1/100. I also went down to one light, but that shouldn’t have made a difference. I also swapped from Stop Motion Pro v5 to Stop Motion Pro v4. I’m more comfortable with version 4. And it now gives me PROJECT STATUS! Huzzah! Now I don’t have to figure out the stats by hand! *beam*
Back to the light flicker, I didn’t bother with frame averaging or anything. I didn’t do any after effects to it either. So I’m happy with how it looks lighting wise, and will continue with what I have.
And the good thing with making your own music, I can play with the speed and timing of it so that it ends perfectly!
And I put more credits in so that I can play with the fonts I got off from a www.bricksinmotion.com thread. It’s a movie poster font, and I wanted to give it a try:

I also used this font too:

What fun!
