You’re adorable

Today Mommy made a mistake about scheduling and so had the afternoon off work without my previous appointment. This was all good as it was a beautiful sunny afternoon and I’ve never yet been able to take you to ballet. So Ekko played hookey too and off we all went to ballet with Carmelina. As you spun around in your little tutu, Ekko kept saying “Zoe you are adorable! She was so right. And she was being pretty adorable too. I watched you through the window and you sure concentrate very seriously during your class. Not a lot of smiles and laughs out of you! But by the end of class you are blissfully happy about the whole experience.

Yesterday we were lying on the bed chatting before trying to nap and I ran my fingers over your forehead. I said “is this cuteness”? Very seriously you said “no mommy, it is my forehead”. The other night Daddy was working on the computer, Ekko was writing at the table beside him, and we were in the living room reading a story. You looked up at one point and sighed with great pleasure. You said “the whole family is here”.

You’ve been sick a lot lately with a nasty cold and often in the early morning I hear you wake up yelling “I NEED KLEENEX”. When Lisa dropped by the other day she said you had a voice like a daschund…a tiny dog with a big voice. You are a tiny girl with a big voice. Last night you actually slept through the whole night for the first time in about two weeks. Hallelujah. Mommy was so happy with you. And daddy too.

There’s probably lots more but that’s all my tired head can think of now. I sure do love you though. – Mommy
