Ekko’s baby
Zoe, Zoe, you are getting so big! Even neighbours that we don’t really know but always smile and nod too, are stopping me to comment that you look like a little girl now and not a baby anymore. So sad.
You talk up a storm too. Must be a part of this family that’s for sure! You know all your colours pretty much and so many times surprise us with things you say. Daddy got you girls flipflops. I was trying to get you ready to go out this morning and you were running around looking for your “flops”. Ekko and I laughed, which made you giggle like crazy.
David was threatening you this morning with a honey bear thingy and you found the whole thing extremely funny. He kept saying “Zoe, don’t you understand the word no?” You would get right in his face and nod “Yes” while smiling angelically. Poor David. Sometimes that boy is no match for my girls. You sure like David’s Papa. Everytime you seem him coming to pick David up after school you start yelling “Hi Papa”. Got him wrapped around your fingers.
The other night was the fun fair at Ekko’s school. I had to work so Daddy took you two. Apparently, you got your face painted with yellow moons on each cheek. The next morning with great gusto you informed me “Daddy, yellow, moon, face” and smile with great delight until I confirmed what had happened. You sure enjoyed your outing with Daddy and Ekko. You also really like waking Ekko up. Most days we don’t let you as you get up much earlier than she does. But some mornings our Ekko has to get up. If we say “Zoe want to wake up Ekko” you take off down the hall like we told some PMS crazed woman there was chocolate in the room. It is so funny to watch. Sure love your Ekko. On Sunday Daddy took Ekko to see a movie for Father’s Day. When they got home, the two of you hugged and hugged like it had been days since you saw each other. So cute. When I ask you whose baby you are, most of the time you say “Ekko’s”.
I love you darling sunshine girl – Mommy
