Christmas shepherd
My big little girl is off on an adventure with Daddy. It is way past your bedtime but it's Friday and tomorrow you can sleep in. Daddy, Pooks and Ben are headed to KBBQ with a few others, and Daddy thought it might be cool if you went with them. You are pretty excited. I hope you don't cave part way through the evening because when we were coming home a few minutes ago, you were telling me in the car that you were tired.
It's almost Christmas. Our lights are up and our tree is decorated. You helped me make decorations for the tree. Oh the fun it has been with you this year! For some reason the whole story of the birth of Jesus has captured your little heart. Daily you try to reenact the whole story. Sometimes you assign us all parts. Zoe has been a Shepherd for a long time. Daddy some days is Joseph and some times you play Joseph. I love it when you wrap a scarf around your head and pretend to be Mary. It is pretty beautiful. At church this Sunday is our Christmas pagent and you are going to be a shepherd. You are totally in love with the whole deal.
Zoe needs fed now so I'll write more later. It has been a great day little one. Today we skated for a while and you did so well. Of course, you didn't want to come home. You also got to walk Maggie. And Grandpa carried you on his shoulders all the way home because you were getting tired. Tonight you ate about half of the bowl of nuts at Uncle Aldo's. I think it is because Uncle Aldo is such a good sport about cracking them for you. You love your Uncle. Oh I love you. Gotta go. – Mommy
