Bigger than ever

Dearest little Ekko, You won’t let mommy call you little anymore in real life so I need to do it here. What a beautiful love girl you are. So grown up. You seem to be growing up in looks and in personality again. What am I going to do! You are so big!!!Today you were obviously thinking really hard and then you said “it’s hard to brush your teeth when you are talking”. What a cutie. So adorable when you think serious thoughts. You like to be a big sister. Zoe is lucky. You take such good care of her. You also like to imitate us. Tonight Uncle Aldo was holding Zoe and she was sitting there with her head up nicely. You got a high pitched female talking to baby voice and said “Look at you baby. Holding your head up so nicely!” We went to Riverdale farm yesterday again. I think I need to enroll you in their junior farmer program. You love that place. My girlie was picking grass and feeding the sheep first. Then you were very sad because the mommy pig was gone. She is one of your favourites. You also taught some bigger kids how to feed the goats. They were all scared of the animals biting them until you showed them. My brave dolly. The donkey and horses were too far behind fences for you to feed so you made grass balls and threw them through the fence. It was funny watching the horse and donkey fight over who got the grass balls first. (their pen is just dirt and they feed them hay so the grass was a treat) Grandma sent you a letter with some pictures from the farm when she came with us. You have carried those pictures all over. It made you super happy to get a letter in the mail for you!Last weekend was our church retreat. Gwen rode up in the van with us. She’s great and you love her. Gwen bought you french fries when we stopped for a pee break at McDonalds. No wonder you love Gwen! The whole weekend was splendid for you. There were a whole bunch of your little friends there for you to play with all day long. It was great watching you girls have so much fun. I wonder how many of them will be your friends for a long time. You all played together and then you would sit together during the sessions. It was so cute. (You, Jocelyn, Virginia, Nicole, Emma, Cassidy, and Cate.) You guys caught salamanders together (that’s my girl!) and got filthy dirty playing outside. By night when I put you in your sleeping bag you fell asleep in about two minutes. You had so much fun “on your holidays” and mommy loved watching you. Daddy couldn’t bring himself to make you have a nap while we were away because you just were so happy playing with the other girls. Tonight when I put you into bed you were asking if we could go on holidays tomorrow again. Sorry my dolly. I wish we could because it is such fun watching you.I love my big girlie and enjoy seeing you smile.Love you tons, Mommy

    Hey Sweetie,

The other day you and I went out for coffee together. We had such fun. On the way there you were very quiet, so I asked what you were thinking about. You said, “Umm, I’m thinking about donuts.” 🙂 You are a cute monkey! When we got there you picked out your muffin (they didn’t have donuts) and sat across from me on your own chair, giggling and chattering and drinking your “coffee”. I watched you and realized what a big girl you really have become. Thanks for spending time with your Auntie my girl. I look forward to many chats over coffee for lots of years to come. I love you! Auntie
