How’s Life?
You’re the best Ekko!
It’s been a long time since the last update, but things are pretty busy at work and at home! We’re in this heightened state of constant cleanliness, and it’s brutal! Poor Ekko, you only have a few toys to play with considering we can’t afford to be messy. No worries, we’ll sell our house Ekko!
I was SO exhausted yesterday. We had more people to visit the house, so we couldn’t go home after church, but I couldn’t do anything. I needed to get some work done, but I couldn’t stay awake, my head was just too tired. So we all went to Taylor Creek Park, and I napped for two hours on a blanket. You of course didn’t do any sleeping, but you had a fun time running around, and gathering plant life, and playing with mom’s lipstick! You had so much fun! What a beauty you are! It’s great to see you happy!
You sleep in the little bed beside our bed constantly, but you like to hold my hand. Mommy and I tried to be sneaky, I told her that she should hold your hand, but you knew it wasn’t me. I think the exema on my hand tips you off. Although I don’t know why you would want to hold my hand if it’s all rough and scaly! 🙂
We had some fun daddy time at Sunset Grill! We walked there last Saturday when I was taking care of you, and I also called Auntie Becky to come! Uncle Aldo was sick and couldn’t make it, so it was just us three until mommy showed up to pick us up! It was great walking with you, and playing little games! You are so talkative and communicative! I still have a hard time believing that we were worried. *laugh*
Last night, I was reading an Asterix book, and it happened to be “Asterix and the Magic Carpet”. You were pointing to characters and asking me who they were. In it is a character named “Whatiznehm”, and when you got to him, you asked who he was. I said “Whatiznehm”. You said, “What.” I thought you were trying to say the name, and didn’t think anything of it. Until you asked me again. I repeated the name, and you said, “What.”
Now this is how thick your daddy is, you did this about three or four times until I realized you thought I was asking YOU “What’s his name!” At that realization, I just couldn’t stop laughing. I laughed and laughed and laughed, and then you laughed with me! You are so beautiful! I must’ve been quite tired, because I couldn’t stop laughing.
Today, while we were out for lunch together (You sure like Dim Sum and shrimp! And mommy really likes custard buns), I mentioned last night briefly, and then you started telling us about last night. How I was reading, and then how I laughed and laughed. It’s great when you relate memories to us. 🙂
You still like asking me what doing. It may be because I love watching you. You are such a beauty, and I love watching your face, and seeing you smile.
When we sing “This little cow eats grass”, your face gets this concerned look as we come to the “This little cow does nothing at all” part. I don’t know why, but you are so cute.
You are simply wonderful. When you come in to visit me at work, I hear your little steps, and eagerly look forward to seeing you coming around the corner, running towards me with this excited look on your face as you want to tell me your latest news, or your favourite thing, or who knows!
It’s one of the best parts of my day beauty. You remember that. 🙂
